Finding Greener Ways

For more than 20 years, ASI has successfully applied green manufacturing processes and technologies to produce green signage solutions for our clients. ASI was the first to offer a modular curve-faced signage system to the marketplace and offer a high-quality, eco-friendly paint finish on all of our modular lines. ASI also pioneered the development and implementation of comprehensive technologies — Online Ordering System (OOS) and Global Account Management (GAM) — that improve productivity, eliminate waste, and make life easier for our clients.

Corporate Environmental Responsibility

ASI is dedicated to finding and implementing new practices and technologies that continue to reduce waste and streamline our processes.

  • Reduction of printed inventory materials to prevent over-printing and needless paper waste.
  • Development of electronic marketing and sales brochures and materials to enable electronic distribution of communications. This not only saves paper, but reduces the carbon footprint involved in shipping and distribution.
  • Creation of an online ordering system to alleviate paper exchange during the ordering and billing process.
  • Implementation of an electronic system to quote, price and project manage production, which eliminates excessive paper waste and improves productivity.

Responsible Manufacturing & Production

We have high expectations of all of our manufacturers – internal and external – and expect them to adhere to eco-friendly processes and continually improve methods when possible. Each of our manufacturing facilities takes extra steps to ensure the least impact possible on the environment through the use of eco-friendly materials and processes. This includes:

  • The use of recycled materials whenever possible.
  • Ensuring minimal waste in production process.
  • Reduced volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in paints and the painting process.
  • Responsible water use to reduce consumption and to ensure that the water used is returned to the system as clean as or cleaner than when it came in.
  • Reduced use of chemicals in production and proper disposal when it is used.
  • Reduced material waste and scraps by ensuring optimum cutting and production techniques.
  • Recycling of the production scraps and waste.
