East Jefferson Hospital

Wayfinding for a Changing Campus

LCMC Health acquired East Jefferson Hospital in 2020 as part of a strategic expansion to broaden its network of community-based care across Louisiana. With the acquisition came a significant investment in modernizing and unifying the hospital campus.

LCMC Health launched a multi-phase renovation and expansion initiative aimed at aligning the facility with the system’s clinical and brand standards, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

As part of this transformation, ASI was selected through a competitive bid process to deliver a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program that reflected LCMC’s brand identity and supported patient navigation.

The project scope consisted of nearly 1,000 signs across 50 unique types including wall- and ceiling-mounted directional signage, dimensional letters, maps, and ADA-compliant room signage.

About the Solution

ASI worked closely with hospital administrators and design teams to craft a signage and wayfinding system that would effectively guide patients through the facility.

This project presented unique challenges. The hospital campus was undergoing renovations in phases, and ASI also addressed areas not yet scheduled for updates by removing outdated signs and installing clear, cohesive signage solutions. Maintaining accuracy and consistency across the evolving spaces was essential to improving the user experience.

The result is a modern, user-friendly signage program that reflects the refreshed identity of East Jefferson Hospital and supports LCMC Health’s long-term vision for the campus.
