Building Responsibly for the Future
Environmental responsibility has been part of ASI’s story for decades. As sustainability became an increasingly important consideration within the built environment, ASI helped pioneer some of the architectural signage industry’s earliest green strategies, exploring ways to reduce environmental impact through thoughtful design, material selection, manufacturing practices, and long-term product performance.
Today, that legacy continues through our commitment to continuous improvement, responsible business practices, and participation in globally recognized sustainability initiatives. As customer expectations and industry standards evolve, ASI remains focused on identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen our environmental performance across our operations.
At ASI, we believe that responsible business practices extend beyond the projects we deliver. We are committed to understanding and reducing our environmental impact, improving operational efficiency, and supporting global efforts to address climate change through transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Environmental responsibility is an ongoing commitment at ASI. As a national architectural signage provider, we recognize the importance of measuring our impact and identifying opportunities to improve how we operate. Through participation in globally recognized sustainability frameworks, we are taking meaningful steps to better understand our environmental footprint and align our actions with climate science.
As we reflect on our journey from a revolutionary manufacturing process in 1965 to a national leader in architectural signage today, we remain dedicated to our founding principles of innovation, entrepreneurship, accountability, and long-term success. The ASI legacy continues to evolve, helping shape the future of architectural signage while supporting a more sustainable built environment.
Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)

Leadership & Accountability
Long before sustainability became a standard business practice, ASI was helping shape some of the architectural signage industry’s earliest green strategies. By exploring environmentally conscious approaches to design, manufacturing, material selection, and lifecycle performance, ASI contributed to the industry’s understanding of how signage can support broader sustainability goals within the built environment.
That spirit of leadership continues today through our commitment to environmental responsibility, transparency, and continuous improvement. As we measure our impact and pursue science-based environmental goals, we remain focused on building upon a legacy that has always balanced innovation with responsible stewardship.
Environmental initiatives at ASI are supported by company leadership and cross-functional teams. We work collaboratively with sustainability advisors and industry partners to ensure our reporting, commitments and progress remain aligned with recognized best practices. Our environmental efforts are guided by transparency, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
As expectations evolve and new opportunities emerge, ASI will continue to strengthen our environmental performance and advance our sustainability initiatives. By aligning with internationally recognized frameworks such as CDP and the Science Based Targets initiative, we are helping build a more sustainable future for our customers, employees, communities and industry.
