LOS Surgery Center represents a major milestone for Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists as the organization’s first dedicated outpatient surgical facility. Designed to support orthopedic and spine procedures, the state-of-the-art center was developed to provide patients with a streamlined, comfortable experience focused on accessibility and high-quality care.
As the first facility of its kind for the organization, the project also presented an opportunity to establish design standards that could support future expansion. ASI | Louisiana was engaged to develop a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program integrated into the modern, patient-centered environment. The objective was to create a system that prioritized clarity and confidence for patients and visitors while establishing a cohesive visual identity.
About the Solution
With no existing signage standards in place, ASI collaborated closely with the design and leadership teams to develop a signage program from the ground up. Materials, finishes, and typography were carefully selected to balance a clean, contemporary healthcare aesthetic with warmth and approachability.
The completed program includes interior and exterior identification, directional signage, and branded environmental elements that support efficient patient flow and intuitive navigation. The result is a cohesive signage system that reinforces the LOS brand and has since been adopted as a scalable standard for future facilities across the organization.
