Interior and Exterior Signage Solutions for LEED® Gold Certified Corporate Office Complex

Lynn Financial Center combines luxury office space with environmentally-conscious design and it has earned the title of the first pre-certified LEED® Gold building in Boca Raton, FL. The Lynn Financial Center is comprised of twin Class A office buildings that are staggered diagonally on the master-planned campus, and feature glass architectural elements accented by an L-shaped wall clad in reflective metal. One of the most prominent eco-friendly features of Lynn Financial Center is an underground reservoir that collects and stores rainwater from the buildings’ roofs to be used to irrigate the native plants and grasses in the landscaped areas.

The architectural firm that designed Lynn Financial Center, RLC Architects, as well as the facility management team all place a strong emphasis on using environmentally sustainable construction and design materials as well as energy-efficient systems and lighting in and around the center. In order to complete the buildings and open them for business, a complete interior and exterior signage and wayfinding solution was needed.

About the Solution

ASI was brought on to the project due to our experience in working with LEED® certified facilities and delivering comprehensive wayfinding and architectural signage solutions. After consulting with the client and reviewing the building design, ASI recommended using its 3form-based signage solution, Terra. The organic and decorative 3form materials of Terra seamlessly integrate into the color scheme and designs of the financial center. Terra is made from 40% post-industrial recycled, non-off gassing material that is Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) certified for recycled content and GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified™.  In addition to being an eco-friendly ADA-Ready™ signage solution, Terra uses decorative mechanical fasteners which allows for sustainable functionality.

For the exterior site identity and wayfinding signage, ASI used Macer Exterior because of its aesthetic design and modular functionality. In addition, Macer’s durable, lead-free, baked polyester enamel finish will withstand the severe weather conditions of south Florida and deliver years of trouble free service. Macer is comprised of only three elements – a steel support for strength, a protective cover for elegance and a graphic panel to communicate identity and wayfinding information.
